"Stitch Together: A Community Quilt" Neighborhood Utility Box Art Project with Virginia Beach Students
Brand new utility box art wraps were recently installed in multiple locations around Virginia Beach!
In "Stitch Together: A Community Quilt," students from Bayside, Rosemont and Bettie F. Williams Elementary Schools teamed up with local artist Jennifer Hand to create the art wraps, as part of a continuing Virginia Beach Public Art Residency Program between the Virginia Beach Cultural Affairs Department and Virginia Beach City Public Schools.
Renderings were created by visual arts students from The Visual & Performing Arts Academy at Salem High School. Utility box wraps are located in the following areas in Virginia Beach City Council Districts 4, 9 and 10:
- Northampton Blvd. between Burton Station Rd. and Diamond Springs Rd.
- Rosemont Rd. between Dahlia Dr. and Lynnhaven Pkwy.
- Lynnhaven Pkwy. between Ski Lodge Rd. and Primrose Ln.
